The University of Pennsylvania is home to one of the top dental medicine schools in the nation, and in turn, home to top, low cost dental clinics. Since 1878, the University of Pennsylvania has been offering a dental education curriculum that is renown for its clinical excellence and interdisciplinary approach.
Aside from providing outstanding dental education, Penn Dental Medicine also offers affordable dental care through its clinics where care is provided by faculty guided dental students. Students are trained and closely supervised by top dentists in the region. In exchange for your confidence and willingness to be part of training the next generation of dentists, Penn Dental Medicine offers a wide array of low cost dental clinic procedures — everything from dental hygiene to complicated interventions. Following are the steps to becoming a patient:
- Make an appointment for an initial examination.
Appointments may be made by calling 215-898-8965 between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Keep in mind that punctuality is extremely important at Penn Dental Medicine, and it important that you arrive for your scheduled appointment on time.
- Get examined by a student doctor.
If your dental needs fit the teaching program a student doctor will be assigned to you. Your student doctor can answer any questions about payment and advise you of costs if they have not already been made clear to you.
- If your dental needs fit the teaching programs, you will be accepted to receive care in one of the clinics.
- Arrange for payment.
If the procedure is complicated, prices can mount quickly. Despite fees being on average of 50%-70% less than private practice fees, Penn Dental Medicine understands that even a low cost dental clinic can still be out of one’s budget at times. There are payment plans available to help provide access to care. Learn more about in our eBook: The Affordability of Truly Comprehensive Care.
- Be treated by the next generation of great dentists.
You can rest assured that you will receive the care you need and that your experience will be a positive one.
Penn Dental Medicine is committed to providing the best low-cost dental clinic services.
